USA have lost two out of as many games in the Super 8, whereas England have managed a sole victory in two games.
England will need to win the game with a substantial margin as they lack the required NRR compared to their closest Group 2 rivals, West Indies. The fact that England has conceded 90 runs against Scotland in the group stages without picking any wicket will haunt them before undermining USA.
