Perth Scorchers (SCO) have played some brilliant cricket throughout the season and currently are at the top of the Big Bash League Points Table 2023. Before the much-awaited playoffs, they have another business to settle as the Ashton Turner-led side is all set to take on Melbourne Renegades (REN) in their final league game of the season on January 22.

The Renegades will eye to earn all the points as their qualification is still under threat. They are currently placed third on the points table, after earning 12 points from 12 games. In their last game, the Aaron Finch-led side suffered an eight-wicket defeat after their batting unit failed to perform. Will Sutherland was the only batter to get going but his innings of 42* off 23 balls went in vain as the Thunder chased the total down with absolute ease. When it comes to bowling, only Corey Rocchiccioli looked dangerous.

Scorchers, on the other hand, have nothing to worry about at the moment. They completely bamboozled Adelaide Strikers in the previous match and would hope to repeat the same against the Renegades. Three of their bowlers (David Payne, Lance Morris and Peter Hatzoglou) picked up three wickets each in the previous match and with the bat, Aaron Hardie played a stunning innings to hand Scorchers their 10th win of the season.
