After losing to Sylhet Strikers in their opening match, Fortune Barishal (FBA) are all set to host Rangpur Riders (RAN) on January 10 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Despite playing reasonably well in the opening game, the team suffered a defeat and thus, will be eager to register their first victory of the season. The Riders, on the other hand, emerged victorious in their opening game against Comilla Victorians and will be eyeing to repeat the same to move to the top of the table.

Coming back to the Barishal-based team, Shakib Al Hasan played a stellar innings of 67 off 32, helping  the team post 194 on board after 20 overs. However, it was their bowlers who let them down as the skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz conceded over more than 11 runs per over while Ebadot Hossain and Khaled Ahmed looked pale as well, as Barishal lost the match by six wickets. 

The Riders, meanwhile, looked rock solid with both bat and ball and thus, will be confident of winning two in a row. Rony Talukdar (67 off 31) played a sensible innings in the previous game as the Nurul Hasan-led side posted 176 runs on board after 20 overs. Their bowlers did a perfect job as they did not allow Comilla to take any of their chances. In the end, the Riders comfortably won the match by 34 runs.
