India and New Zealand are set to take on each other in the final of the Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, March 9. The two sides faced each other in the group-stage at the same venue. The Men in Blue emerged victorious by 44 runs.
India and New Zealand finished Group A on first and second place, respectively. The final standings were decided by their game against each other. Both the sides were successful in overcoming Bangladesh and Pakistan quite comfortably.
Speaking on Rohit Sharma & Co.'s ODI form ahead of the tournament, they emerged as emphatic victors over England by inflicting a 3-0 whitewash on the latter. As far as New Zealand are concerned, they claimed the Tri-Nation Series by going undefeated throughout the tri-series.
CT 2025 final predictions: Winner, Most Runs, Most Wickets & Player of the Match
Most Runs
Owing to his scintillating form, Rachin Ravindra could be expected to end up scoring the most runs in the game. The left-handed top-order batter has been in some sensational nick of late. He did not feature in New Zealand's tournament opener against Pakistan to prioritise returning from a forehead injury. From that moment on, Rachin has notched up a couple of tons against Bangladesh and South Africa, respectively.

Most Wickets
Owing to the turning nature of the track to be used in Dubai, Ravindra Jadeja is a strong contender for ending up with the most wickets on Sunday. Jadeja's menacing lines and changes of pace could prove to be a tricky prospect for the Kiwi batters. Trying to break the shackles against the spin-bowling all-rounder could lead to Jadeja claiming a few dismissals.
Player of the Match (POTM)
As mentioned earlier, it has been predicted that New Zealand win the game; thus winning their second Champions Trophy and their first ICC white-ball tournament in 25 years. For his masterful batting display, Rachin could be in line to win the POTM award. Consequently, he would also be a worthy contender for the Player of the Tournament accolade as well.

Winner
Contrary to the league fixture, the Kiwis might just get the better of the Indian unit. A proportionate blend of batting and bowling contributions, fielding brilliance, and better execution during crunch situations might just lead New Zealand to take the cake, irrespective of batting or bowling first.
