After a humiliating defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 15th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 on April 10, at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Notably, the Super Giants have managed to win two of their three fixtures so far and are looking in great touch but beating the Faf du Plessis-led side in their den may prove to be a daunting task for the visiting side.
However, in order to register their second win of the season, RCB needs to improve significantly with the bat. Virat Kohli and du Plessis gave them a good start but soon after their dismissal, their batting unit fell like a house of cards. Other than David Willey, bowlers looked pale as well and thus, there is a lot of room for improvement for RCB at the moment.
Lucknow meanwhile will be confident ahead of the game. KL Rahul’s form is definitely a matter of concern but the good news is, he always proves his class against RCB. Moreover, Mark Wood is expected to make his return to the playing XI. On the other hand, Quinton de Kock has returned back to India after his international commitments and is very likely to open the innings alongside Rahul. Kyle Mayers in that case will most likely bat at the number three slot.

RCB vs LSG Pitch Report
The Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru often helps the batters to dominate. Since it’s a small ground, one can definitely expect a high-scoring match. Anything above 180 will be a good score on this wicket and the captain winning the toss should elect to bowl first.

RCB vs LSG Probable Best Performers
Probable best batter
Virat Kohli:
The 34-year-old Virat Kohli was at his very best in RCB’s opening game against MI. He started really well against KKR as well but unfortunately, couldn’t make the most of the opportunity. However, given his form and confidence at the moment, one can put their money on Kohli to come up good against LSG and in the upcoming matches ahead.
Probable best bowler
Mark Wood:
Ace pacer Mark Wood is in sensational form at the moment. In two matches so far, the England international has picked up eight wickets and is the current holder of the IPL Purple Cap. He will be returning after being infected with flu and will be raring to go at Chinnaswamy.
