But it went in vain as Punjab were restricted to 183 in 19.1 overs, losing the game by a margin of nine runs.

GT, on the other hand, are coming off a humiliating defeat against Delhi Capitals. After being put to bat first, the GT batters fell like a pack of cards as they were bowled out for double-digits, 89, marking their lowest-ever total in IPL. The Delhi batters then chase down the target in 53 balls, with six wickets to spare.

Currently, the Shubman Gill-led side are sitting on eighth in the points table with six points from three wins. On the flip side, Punjab are trailing behind them with a total of four points.
