In the 41st match of the IPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The match is set to take place on the 25th of April 2024 at 7:30 PM (IST) in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Both teams have had a contrasting journey in the league so far. While SRH has 5 wins in 7 matches, RCB has won just one of their 8 games. SRH is placed in the third spot while RCB is in the bottom spot in the points table.

In their previous encounter, SRH beat DC comfortably by 67 runs. The brilliant knocks from Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Shahbaz Ahmed helped them to post 266 runs on the board. T Natarajan's spell with the ball helped SRH to defend the total successfully. On the other hand, RCB lost to KKR by just a run. Chasing 223, RCB's Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar batted well. Towards the end, Karn Sharma's cameo went in vain as KKR clinched a thrilling win in Eden Gardens.

In their previous matchup, RCB and SRH broke a lot of records. Most aggregate (549) in a match was registered. The highest score in the IPL history (287) was registered by SRH. RCB scored 262 runs while chasing, the most for a unit while chasing the total. A similar outing can be expected from both sides in Hyderabad given the quality of the batters and the nature of the pitch. With RCB nearly out of the playoffs race, they would be hoping to put on a show in each of their matches.

Here is the strongest probable predicted XI of RCB for the 41st match of the IPL 2024:

Openers - Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis (c)

RCB are likely to go with the same opening pair. Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli have been good for RCB. While they have not fired as a pair, the experienced duo has fired individually. It's probably the reason behind their failure in the season so far. Make no mistake, the duo has done well in the league so far. Both batters have played some good innings. They are capable of winning matches for their side. Unfortunately, RCB has not been able to play well as a team.

Faf Du Plessis can smash the bowlers from his end. The star batter can take the game away from the opposition in a matter of a few overs. However, against spin, he struggles a bit. Virat Kohli anchors the innings well. Early in the match, the star batter can hit some boundaries to put pressure on the opponents. With the progression of the innings, he can adapt to the situation well. If the duo gets going, RCB has a good chance of winning the match against SRH.

Middle Order - Rajat Patidar, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Suyash Prabhudesai

In the middle order, RCB have a mix of the emerging and the experienced batters. Rajat Patidar has batted well in the last few matches. The right-handed batter was not in the best form coming into the tournament. Even in the first 4-to 5 games, Patidar did not have a great time. But he has batted well in the last few matches. Dinesh Karthik is the designated finisher of RCB. The star batter has been one of the best finishers in the season and has been good as a wicketkeeper.

In difficult situations, he can save the team from collapse. Likewise, after getting a good start, he can capitalize and play a great knock towards the last few overs. Syuash Prabhudesai played the last match against KKR as the impact substitute. Ashe did not fail, Suyash is likely to get one more game to prove himself as a matchwinner. The right-handed batter can play cameos and win matches for his side. If required, he can be handy with the ball as well.

All Rounders - Will Jacks, Cameron Green, Mahipal Lomror

RCB have a set of good all-rounders. At the top of the order, the 3-time finalists have options like Will Jacks and Cameron Green who are terrific batters and can bowl a bit. Jacks played a fine innings in the previous game against KKR. The right-handed batter is aggressive by nature and can smash some of the best bowlers for fun. If required, he can offer an over or two with the ball. Cameron Green is a good all-rounder. Unfortunately, he is not in good form in the IPL 2024.

The star player has bowled well in patches and batted well in the game against KKR. But he has been highly inconsistent as a performer. With the field, he has been excellent. Mahipal Lomror is another good option as an All-rounder. With the ball, he can be handy by delivering an over or two, especially against the right-handers. With the bat, he has been doing well in the IPL 2024. The Southpaw has played fine cameos lower down the order, though not all of them came in a winning cause.

Bowlers - Mohammed Siraj, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal, Karn Sharma

RCB's bowling is arguably the worst this season. The 2016 finalists have struggled to find a bowler who can make a difference for a consistent period. With the new ball, they have the pair of Mohammed Siraj and Yash Dayal. The former has been out of rhythm, conceding the bulk of runs as a new ball bowler. Given how he performed in 2023, it is difficult to believe his performance in 2024. Yash Dayal can claim wickets with the new ball. He can swing the ball both ways.

In the middle overs, RCB have options like Lockie Ferguson and Karn Sharma. Along with them, Green and Jacks can roll their arms over. Lockie is a wicket-taking option. With his pace, the Kiwi can trouble the batters. He can chip in with an over at the death. Karn bowled and batted well against KKR. If not for him, RCB would have chased more and lost by a fair margin. In addition to it, RCB has other options like Vijaykumar Vyshak, Reece Topley, Mayank Dagar, and so on.
