Jaffna Kings (JK) cross swords with Kandy Falcons (KFL) in Qualifier 2 of the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday, July 20.

The Kings finished at No. 2 on the points table at the end of the league stage after winning five games and losing three out of the eight they played. Meanwhile, Kandy Falcons won three games and lost five to claim the fourth position on the points table.

In Qualifier 1, Jaffna set a decent target of 178 but Galle Marvels made light work of it as they chased it down with seven wickets and 11 balls to spare. Meanwhile, in the Eliminator, Kandy eked out a two-wicket win against Colombo Strikers after chasing a total of 160 with eight balls in the bank.

While Jaffna are heading into this clash on the back of two consecutive losses, Kandy will be upbeat about their chances after registering two wins on the trot.
