The time has come for rivalries in Women's international cricket as New Zealand Women will be hosting the Australia Women team in a three-match T20I series. The first game is to be played on March 21 at Eden Park in Auckland. This will be the beginning of the Tasmanian rivalry in Women's international cricket.

The New Zealand Women finished their thrilling series against Sri Lanka Women which unfortunately ended in a draw due to the last game being abandoned due to rain. The side will have some big stars coming back in the mix and will once again be led by the legendary Suzie Bates who will be hoping for another series win.

Though the New Zealand Women team looks strong the Australia Women team looks solid as well and will also feature some big stars in the mix. It will be Tahlia McGrath who will be leading the side in this series. The team had won all their matches in the Women’s ashes which also included three T20Is and will also be confident going into the series.

Pitch Report

Eden Park has always been a batting paradise where big totals have been scored. The ground has short boundaries and the surface is known to be on the flatter side with some assistance for the seamers with the new ball. The pitch also does not seem to change a lot which could result in the captains choosing to bowl first after winning the toss.

Though there are plenty of great batters within the Australia Women squad it is star all-rounder Ellyse Perry who has been the in-form player in the format. Perry has had an incredible WPL where she emerged as one of the top run-scorers. She will want to continue her great form in the series.

Probable best bowler: Amelia Kerr

Amelia Kerr is currently one of the best all-rounders in international cricket right now. Though the Kiwi star did not have the best of seasons with the bat in the WPL she still went on to have an iconic season with the ball where she won the purple cap. Kerr has proven that she is a more than capable bowler and she will be one of the players to watch out for in the series as well.
