The end of the group stages of the tournament saw Islamabad United finish in third place in the standings with 12 points in 10 games, whereas Peshawar Zalmi finished in fourth place with 10 points in 12 games. Both teams will now take each other on for a place in Eliminator 2 of the competition and look to eventually make it to the summit clash.

In their previous games, both teams faced each other as Peshawar Zalmi emerged victorious against Islamabad, thanks to a fabulous display by their bowling attack. Zalmi notched up 179 runs on the board, thanks to a sensational knock by Mohammad Haris.
