Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe, 2nd T20I: Match Prediction - Who will win today’s match between SL vs ZIM?

Sri Lanka (SL) defeated Zimbabwe (ZIM) by the barest margin in the first T20I of the three-match series. With six runs required in the final two deliveries, Dushmantha Chameera hit a boundary in the penultimate delivery while taking a double in the final ball to win it for Sri Lanka. However, the Wanindu Hasaranga-led side will not be happy with the performance.

The bowlers however did a remarkable job. Maheesh Theekshana and Hasaranga picked up two wickets each as Zimbabwe posted 143 runs on the board. Even so, they made a close contest out of it, all thanks to Sikandar Raza. The veteran all-rounder made 62 runs off 42 deliveries in the first innings while picking up three wickets in the second innings.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka struggled for the majority part of the second innings but Angelo Mathews and Dasun Shanaka took control of the situation at the right time to get the job done. The win should give them some confidence while Zimbabwe will eye to make a comeback in the second T20I on January 16.
