18-member India A Women squad announced for multi-format tour against Australia A Women

India A Women will be travelling to Australia for the multi-format series against Australia A. The Indian team is set to play three T20s and as many ODIs followed by a 4-day match against Australia A. This multi-format tour will commence at the Allan Border Field (ABF) in Brisbane, on August 7. Notably, the venue will be hosting three T20Is.

The ODI fixtures will be hosted at Mackay and Gold Coast will be hosting the four-day clash. Ahead of the tour, the women’s selection committee announced an 18-member squad that will be touring Australia. Minnu Mani has been appointed as the captain of the pack with Shweta Sehrawat acting as the vice-captain. Sajana Sajeevan, who dazzled in the recently concluded Women's Premier League 2024 has found a place in the squad.

India Women dominate the multi-format tour against South Africa 

Talking about the senior India Women's team, they were all over the South Africa Women in the multi-format tour that started on June 16. First up, India won the ODI series comprehensively by a margin of 3-0, they followed it up with a dominating win against the visitors in the One-Off Test in Chennai. However, the Proteas showed some resilience in the business end of the tour as they managed to level the T20I series by 1-1.
