‘4 feet Rajpal Yadav ka bhai’- Sohail Khan reacts to Pakistan journalist’s shocking remark on Gautam Gambhir
Sohail Khan recently called out Virat Kohli for disrespecting him in the past.
Former India opener, Gautam Gambhir has been a target of Pakistan journalists for a long time now. However, things escalated this time, when a Pakistani journalist, Nadir Ali, humiliated the 41-year-old by calling him ‘4 feet Rajpal Yadav ka bhai’. He kept on insulting the former cricketer before former Pakistan pacer, Sohail Khan, dived in and asked to change the topic as he prefers not to speak much about the cricketer.
Meanwhile, Gambhir is not someone new to this. He has faced a lot of criticism from Pakistan journalists for his political comments about the country. In the show, when Gambhir’s name could have been avoided, especially when they were talking about Shoaib Akhtar, Nadir Ali deliberately called him out and referred to him as ‘Karele ka first cousin’ for his bitter comments about Pakistan in the past.
The anchor also revealed that Gambhir had said that India should never have any series against Pakistan. Sohail was surprised to listen to all this and commented, “He speaks against Pakistan? Woh bhi log sunte hai (people listen to that as well)?”
After which Nadir probably misquoted a statement of Gambhir which he gave to the Times of India before the Asia Cup 2018.
“If you want to ban someone from playing, you should ban them from playing every form of cricket, whether it’s Asia Cup or ICC events. You can’t have conditional bans in sports. You can’t say we won’t play bilateral series but we can’t do anything about ICC events and Asia Cup. If you want to play Pakistan in Asia Cup, why don’t you play bilateral series as well? If you don’t want to play Pakistan in bilateral series, then don’t play them in Asia Cup and in ICC events either. That is a decision that the BCCI and the Government needs to take,” Nadir referred to this and mocked the Indian cricketer for his comments.
Meanwhile, the tension between India and Pakistan are once again brewing. BCCI secretary Jay Shah has publicly announced that the Men in Blue will not travel to Pakistan for the upcoming Asia Cup. They want the venue to get changed and if not done, they will abandon the continental cup. However, a decision on the future of the competition is yet to get finalised.
