Afghanistan Cricket Board announces schedule for series against Pakistan
Afghanistan will take on Pakistan in a three-match T20I series starting March 25.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced their schedule for the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan. The teams will take each other on in a three-match T20I series which is scheduled to begin on March 25. The final match of the series will be played on March 29.
The board also stated that every match of the series will be played in Sharjah. Pakistan’s most recent matches were against New Zealand, where they took on the BlackCaps in a three-match ODI series, which they lost. Meanwhile, both the teams last met for a T20I face-off in the Asia Cup in September, 2022.
Afghanistan, on the other hand, recently took on the UAE in a three-match T20I series. They did emerge victorious, as they lost only one match out of the three. As the series against the Men in Green approaches, their neigbours will be hoping to secure another series triumph.

Following the announcement of the schedule, the chairman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, Mirwais Ashraf, came forward and reflected on the fact that they look forward to facing Pakistan and hoped that the series could help them extend ties with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
"We are hopeful and looking forward to extending our ties with PCB, as well as continuing great partnerships and frequent cricketing assignments with them, which will help us further strengthen our team and our cricket altogether," Mirwais Ashraf was quoted as saying in a PCB media release.
"Overall, we are excited to host and play Pakistan in what will be a thrilling series of cricket games between the two countries," he added.
The chairman of the PCB, Najam Sethi also talked about the series against Afghanistan. "I am delighted that inaugural Pakistan versus Afghanistan T20I series will be played later this month in a city that has a large ex-pat community and which has always supported cricketers from both countries," he said.
