After Chahal-Dhanashree, Manish Pandey and Ashrita Shetty spark rumours by unfollowing each other on Instagram
Manish Pandey and Ashrita Shetty tied the knot in December 2019.
Amid speculations of Yuzvendra Chahal's divorce with wife Dhanashree Verma, Manish Pandey and Ashrita Shetty have sent shockwaves through the cricket community by unfollowing each other on Instagram.
Manish, who has represented India in 29 ODIs and 39 T20Is, tied the knot with model-turned-actress Ashrita on December 2, 2019, in a private ceremony in Mumbai. Last year in June, there were no photos of the right-handed batter on Ashrita's social media accounts. Likewise, Pandey also deleted all photos with his wife. They were seen together often in the initial years after their marriage. However, it has been a while since the couple has made a public appearance together. The recent developments, including the duo unfollowing each other, have worried the cricket enthusiasts.
Manish has not been having a great time in his cricketing career as well. The first-ever Indian player to score a century in the Indian Premier League (IPL), he was dropped from Karnataka's Vijay Hazare Trophy squad. This was after he had scored just 117 runs from five innings in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 as Karnataka failed to reach the knockout stage of the T20 competition.
The 35-year-old has also played 171 IPL games so far in his career. He has amassed 3850 runs at an average of 29.17 and a strike rate of 121.11. His most notable performance in the cash-rich league came in the finals in 2014. Playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he slammed 94 off just 50 balls to help his team chase down a 200-run target against Punjab Kings (PBKS). Meanwhile, in the international circuit, Manish has registered five half-centuries and a solitary century, which came against Australia in Sydney.
Manish is all set to represent KKR in the upcoming edition of the IPL. He was roped in by the defending champions for INR 75 lakhs in the mega-auction.
