Enthusiasm for the approaching T20 World Cup 2024 is escalating rapidly. With the marquee tournament all set to be co-hosted by the West Indies and the USA, the participating sides will look to put in their best performances in the competition to get their hands on the coveted trophy.

One of the biggest favourites to go all the way would be the Indian team. Recently, BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed Rohit Sharma will lead the team at the event, with ace batter Virat Kohli’s selection not confirmed as of now. Meanwhile, Anjum Chopra, former skipper of the Indian women’s team, emphasized the pivotal significance of captain Rohit and Kohli in India’s campaign at the T20 World Cup.

Furthermore, Chopra branded star batter Rinku Singh as the player who could have a breakthrough campaign in the T20 World Cup 2024, opining that the fans will have to see how much the 26-year-old will be able to sustain during the course of the tournament.

“Rinku Singh. The way he is performing and looking really good. We have to see how much he is able to sustain, the day he sees or faces any failure, and how he comes back. He is going to stay and be around the team and system. He is the one player the entire country looks up to,” Chopra said.
