Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pulled off a stunning victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a high-octane clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, sealing a crucial win by six wickets.
Following the exhilarating encounter, SRH pacer Jaydev Unadkat shared insights into their strategy, emphasizing the importance of unpredictability in bowling tactics. Unadkat, who played a pivotal role in restricting CSK's batting lineup, highlighted the significance of adapting to the pitch conditions.
"I think from what we have seen so far both the wickets where the slow balls were sticking into the pitch and It's about adapting to the conditions. I think the conditions were suitable for those sorts of deliveries... as a bowler, you have got to be unpredictable in terms of lines and pace," he said after the match.
Meanwhile, SRH opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Despite a strong start from CSK, some key dismissals restricted them to a par total of 165/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
In response, SRH commenced their chase with an explosive partnership between Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, setting the tone early on. Aiden Markram's composed half-century further solidified SRH's position, ultimately guiding them to a convincing victory.
