England and Australia are engaging in another hotly contested affair in the second T20I at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. But the hosts were given a huge scare after their in-form batter David Warner walked off the field after landing awkwardly in an attempt to catch the ball at the boundary.

Jos Buttler's England batted first in the decisive second match of the series and after a stuttering start, were looking to set a challenging total for the hosts. Australia, in hopes to turn things around in the contest, brought in star left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc to bowl the 15th over. The pacer almost provided a much needed breakthrough for his skipper as Moeen Ali crunched the ball in the direction of David Warner.

But the southpaw lost his balance and ended up palming the ball over the ropes. He hurt himself in the process after landing heavily on his shoulder and his head bounced back after hitting the turf. The physio rushed out to check Warner and advised him to walk off the field. The southpaw did not return to the field during Australia's bowling innings but was declared fit to return to action after clearing the concussion and fitness tests.

Australia will be hoping that Warner's mishap does not affect his sensational batting form, as the explosive opener has compiled successive half-centuries in his last two outings for the Men in Yellow. He almost guided Australia to victory in the series opener against England in Perth.

Coming to the match, Warner's drop was followed by another missed chance as Tim David palmed a relatively simpler chance over the boundary in the same over. Australia were uncharacteristically sloppy throughout the innings and shelled as many as four chances as England posted a more than competitive total of 178 runs on the back of Dawid Malan's 82 off 49 deliveries.
