Australia skipper comes up with witty reply when asked to choose between Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli
The second season of the documentary 'The Test' is out now.
Sachin or Virat? It's a question that may have come into the mind of every cricket enthusiast at least once. While Sachin Tendulkar is known as the 'God of cricket' among Indian fans, India's modern day batting maestro Virat Kohli has already broken many of Sachin's records and is on his way to breaking more.
With 46 ODI hundreds, the 34-year-old star Indian batter is just four centuries away from surpassing his idol and becoming the first-ever batter to reach 50 ODI centuries. It's extremely difficult to choose one out of the two because they have different legacies and played in different eras.
Hence, when the Australian Test skipper, Pat Cummins, was asked to pick between the two great Indian batters, he came up with a witty reply. During the teaser of the second season of the Amazon Prime Video's documentary, 'The Test', Australian batter Usman Khawaja asked the same question for his Test skipper.
Khwaja asked, 'Sachin or Virat ?'
To which Cummins replied, “Of what? Cooking? I think I have played Sachin only once in a T20 years ago. So I will say Virat."
Cummins also got the opportunity to put Khawaja in a spot and the pacer didn't let the opportunity slip either. He also came up with couple of questions for Khawaja. He asked him to rank the famous fab 4 of the Indian batting line-up.
To which Khawaja replied, “I would go, Tendulkar, one. Dravid, 'The Wall', two. Three, Dada. Ganguly , unfortunately this hurts for me to say for Laxman too, I love watching Laxman bat, but lefties first."
The skipper came up with another question. He asked Khawaja to pick two Indian players he would like to see in Australian colours. Responding to the same the Australian opener replied ‘Kohli (Virat) and Pant (Rishabh).'
Meanwhile, Australia will be touring India for a Test series after six years. Last time when Australia toured the Asian country, they gave the hosts a tough fight and the scoreline read 2-1. The current world no. 1 Test team Australia hasn’t won the Border Gavaskar Trophy in the last three editions, which includes two series on their home soil.
