Bangladesh and Afghanistan one-off Test to be played from June 14
Afghanistan will leave for India mid-way through the tour for a white-ball series.

Afghanistan will start their upcoming tour of Bangladesh with a one-off Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. According to reports, Afghanistan will reach the country on June 10 and the first Test will be played from June 14.
Earlier, it was reported that the tour will be completed in two phases with Afghanistan leaving for India mid-way through the series for a white-ball series against the Men in Blue.
It has now been confirmed that Afghanistan will be leaving for India on June 19 after the completion of the one-off Test and will return to Bangladesh again to compete in three ODIs and two T20Is which will conclude on July 17.
According to a report in Cricbuzz, the three-match ODI series will be played in Chattogram with the matches taking place on July 5, 8 and 11 respectively. The two teams will further move to Sylhet to lock horns in a two-match T20I series with the two games scheduled on July 14 and 16.
Meanwhile, most of the Bangladesh’s players that toured England for the ODIs against Ireland have returned home while some big names have stayed back in the country for a break.
Bangladesh win ODI series against Ireland 2-0
Notably, Bangladesh won the three-match ODI series against Ireland by 2-0 after the first game got washed out. In the third ODI played at County Ground, Chelmsford, Bangladesh got bundled out for 274 in 48.5 overs after being put into bat first. Captain Tamim Iqbal top-scored for his side with his knock of 69 off 82 balls while Mushfiqur Rahim also scored 45 off 54.
Mark Adair was the pick of the bowlers for Ireland as he registered figures of 4/40 in 8.5 overs. In reply, Ireland could only manage to reach 270/9 in their allotted 50 overs with half-centuries from Paul Stirling (60 off 73), Andrew Balbirnie (53 off 78), and Lorcan Tucker (50 off 53).
Mustafizur Rahman was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh as he picked 4/44 in his 10-over spell and helped his side win the match by four runs. The left-arm seamer was also awarded Player of the Match for his incredible spell.
