The tide of change in the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) does not seem to cede. The latest development in the national cricket board saw 11 directors being removed. The move came in the wake of the individual’s absence from the three or more consecutive meetings. Manzur Kader, AJM Nasir Uddin, Anwarul Islam, Shafiul Alam Chowdhury, Ismail Haider Mallick, Tanvir Ahmed, Obeid Nizam, Gazi Golam Murtoza and Nazib Ahmed are others on the discarded members list. Not only the removal of directors, three directors namely, Naimur Rahman, Khaled Mahmud and Enayet Hossain Siraj put out their resignation papers in front of BCB.

Former Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government was dethroned after a political uproar by the local people. As she fled the country, this also brought the individuals in allegiance to the party, holding premier positions in various fields under the scanner. BCB reportedly exuded such individuals and with the formation of the new government under PM, Muhammad Yunus, the board saw a sue of axing.
