BCCI announces India's international schedule for 2024-25 home season
India are set to host Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England in their upcoming home season.
On Thursday, June 20, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the fixtures for the highly-anticipated international home season of the Indian cricket team for 2024-25. Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England are the three teams which are going to visit the cricket-crazy nation to showcase their skills and challenge the Men in Blue.
India's international home season will get underway with a two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh. The first Test begins on September 23, and it will be held in Chennai. Meanwhile, the second Test starts on October 1, in Kanpur. The two Asian sides will then compete in a three-match T20I series, with the venues being Dharamsala, Delhi, and Hyderabad.

India's next assignment is a three-match Test series against the Blackcaps. The first Test begins on October 20, in Bengaluru, only eight days after the final T20I against Bangladesh. The second and third Tests will be played in Pune and Mumbai respectively.
The home season will conclude with a high-voltage series involving India and England. The two cricketing powerhouses will lock horns in a five-match T20I series, starting on January 22, 2025. Chennai, Kolkata, Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai are the five venues for what promises to be a keenly contested series. The Three Lions will end the tour by playing a three-match ODI series, with the games being held in Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad.

India will look to gain maximum points from the five Test matches they are playing at home over the next few months. They are already on top of the World Test Championship points table for the 2023-2025 cycle and would want to make it to the finals for the third consecutive time.
