BCCI's historic IPL 2025 announcement, players to earn INR 7.5 lakhs extra per match
The funds promised to be disbursed will commence from the 18th edition of the IPL and onwards.

The country's apex cricket governing body, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), in a momentous announcement, have disseminated that they will be allotting additional money to Indian players.
This has been divided into a per-game basis as well as a seasonal amount. In addition to the salaries which Indian players will earn via their respective contracts with their respective franchises in the Indian Premier League, a per-game fee of INR 7.5 lakh will be provided to Indian cricketers, for whoever is a part of the playing XI. In a bid to prioritise an enhanced level of participation from the drafted players, the administrative body has also announced an enormous amount of INR 1.05 crore which will exclude the contracted amount.
It has also been disclosed that each franchise will allocate INR 12.60 crore as match fees for an entire season. In the same vein, the BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah, announced the following changes in the fee structure of Indian players who will feature in the IPL 2025, through a tweet on his 'X' handle.

IPL to be the main pipeline for Team India's future stars?
The fresh policies introduced by Shah & Co. might not apply a lot to seasoned campaigners who are nearing or in the twilight of their careers already. However, the incentive to earn an extra buck might just increase the hunger amongst age-group and junior cricketers to go that extra mile to be fully available to play in the IPL, which might just be a new breeding ground for future legendary players.
