The Men in Blue are preparing for the Champions Trophy 2025 after landing in Dubai. However, much before the upcoming ICC (International Cricket Council) marquee event, Team India had a shoddy tour of Australia, where they were unable to defend the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. As a result, several scrutiny and aftermath meetings led to the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) releasing a ten-point guideline document, leading to restructuring of how the management functions and the way forward for the team along with new travel policies.
This led to the BCCI taking numerous stringent steps which also included the families of the Indian players were not allowed to be on tour like before. There were certain conditions put forward by the Indian board. This meant that Team India players boarded the Dubai flight without any family members after the board denied them the luxury of having family members including wives all through the tour.
However, in the latest development, as per Dainik Jagran, the BCCI has mellowed down a bit and has been mulling over allowing the family members of the Indian cricket stars to watch at least one game of the Champions Trophy 2025. Notably, India are going to play all of their matches in Dubai after a hybrid model was agreed upon by the hosts PCB aka Pakistan Cricket Board, BCCI and the ICC. Hence. if the Men in Blue manage to reach the knockout stages of the tournament, they will still get to play in Dubai unlike the other seven teams participating in the Champions Trophy.

When it comes to Team India, they will start their campaign against Bangladesh on Thursday. February 20. Following that, India will clash with the archrivals and host Pakistan in what promises to be a high-octane encounter. This Group A match will be played on February 23.
Besides, it was revealed that the BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia was in touch with a top board official who put in a word regarding the family travel issue. As a result, given the short span of the tournament, it was agreed that if players place a request in advance, their families will be allowed to watch just one game of the Champions Trophy.
