The ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which will take place in the West Indies and the United States, is causing a lot of enthusiasm because cricket's shortest format promises exciting matches with unpredictable results. This edition offers cricket a rare chance to grow in North America as teams from all around the world compete for the prized trophy. Twenty teams will compete in the tournament; they will first be split into groups, and then there will be knockout phases that culminate in a final.

Fans and experts are speculating about which teams will advance to the semifinals as the excitement grows. Strong teams with a history, such as Australia, New Zealand, and India, are anticipated to do well because of their powerful lineups and reliable records. After the ODI World Cup, India are looking to win the title this time. A strong combination of youthful talent and experienced players leads them. They last won it in 2007. Australia are a consistent favourite in ICC competitions because of their aggressive approach and depth in both bowling and batting.

In his statement, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah listed the West Indies, Australia, New Zealand, and India as his top choices for the 2024 T20 World Cup semifinalists. Shah's projections agree with the general opinion of the strengths and current form of these clubs.  

“India, Australia, New Zealand, and West Indies are the strong contenders to win the 2024 T20 World Cup,” Shah stated.

Groups for T20 World Cup 2024:

Group A: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, United States

Group B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman

Group C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea

Group D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal
