West Indies head coach Daren Sammy was disheartened following Alzarri Joseph’s decision to leave the field after a heated argument with captain Shai Hope. The incident happened in the fourth over of the match when the keeper adjusted the field, which Joseph wasn’t too happy with. The 27-year-old eventually bowled a bouncer and picked up the wicket of Jordan Cox but chose not to celebrate and was starring at Hope continuously.
The captain didn’t respond and Joseph went on to continue his over. After its completion, he interestingly chose to leave the field, which confused Sammy as well. He however returned after an over but West Indies had only 10 players on the field at one point. Meanwhile, speaking on Joseph’s antics, Sammy stated that such behaviour is unacceptable and that he would have a chat with him later on.
