Brisbane Heat clinched their second title of the Big Bash League as they beat Sydney Sixers by 54 runs in the final of the 13th edition on Wednesday, January 24 at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney. After being put in to bat first, Brisbane posted a decent score of 166/8 in their allotted 20 overs riding on a brilliant half-century by Josh Brown (53 off 38) while Sean Abbott was the pick of the bowlers for Sydney with figures of 4/32 in four overs.
In reply, Sydney were bundled out for just 112 in 17.3 overs with captain Moises Henriques top-scoring with 25 (27). Spencer Johnson was the most successful bowler for Brisbane with figures of 4/26 in four overs.
The left-arm seamer was right-fully awarded Player of the Match for helping his side beat the three-time champions in BBL Winner List, Sydney.
