It was a dominant performance by England, and in particular, white-ball skipper, Jos Buttler. On a challenging track at the Kensington Oval, Buttler emerged as the standout performer with the bat across both the sides. His 83 (45) paved the way for a convincing seven-wicket win in the second T20I of the series against the West Indies. However, this came after he had to adapt to conditions during the initial phase of his fiery knock.

Buttler reflected on the first 10 deliveries he faced, of which he could only garner a mere three runs. He credited his versatility for the way he picked up post the initial hindrance.

"Great to spend some time in the middle. Bit scratchy in the first few balls, but managed to come through that period. I've got lots of experience. Have batted in different positions. At number three, you can come in second ball or outside the powerplay," stated Buttler during the post-match presentation.

He also praised the presence of mind of Will Jacks who had to hand over the hard-hitting Buttler the strike and play a measured knock.

"He's got unbelievable talent. Can play shots not many others can. He played really smart. Realised I was going after the bowling and gave me the strike. Has played a lot of franchise cricket," remarked Buttler.

Always wants the ball, always want to be in the hotspots on the field: Buttler

Buttler reserved high praise for 23-year-old Dan Mousley, whose 2/29 was crucial in limiting the hosts to a par-score of 158, for his temperament.

"He's pretty unique. Not many guys bowl like he does. One of his biggest attributes is his character. Always wants the ball, always want to be in the hotspots on the field," added Buttler.

With the win in Barbados, England have taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series. They will be looking to wrap things up in Gros Islet.
