Brett Lee picks his best XI from T20 World Cup 2022, includes no Australian

The former Australian World Cup-winning bowler Brett Lee has picked his best XI from the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022. The legendary pacer has picked four Indians, two Pakistanis, one New Zealander, and four English cricketers, however, no Australian features in his team.
Notably, England beat Pakistan in the final of the tournament to lift the trophy at Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 13. English captain Jos Buttler scored the highest 225 runs for his team and Alex Hales smashed 212 runs to ensure the team's impressive start. Both the players are included in the ICC's team of the tournament and awere chosen as openers by Lee for his XI.
Sam Curran, who won the Player of the Match award in the final and Player of the Tournament for taking 13 wickets from six innings, also found a place in Lee's list. English spin ace Adil Rashid, who took only four wickets in the tournament but was impressive in the semi-final and the final clash, also made into Lee's XI.
Four Indians but no Australian cricketer in Brett Lee's Best XI
India's World Cup campaign ended with an embarrassing ten-wicket defeat against England in the second semi-final clash but there were a few positives for the team ass tar batter Virat Kohli scored the highest 296 runs from just six innings with the help of four half-centuries and Surykumar Yadav scored 239 runs at an unbelievable strike rate of 189.68, the best in the tournament. As expected, both the players are part of Lee's best XI of the tournament.
Lee also included young pacer Arshdeep Singh and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya in his list. Arshdeep grabbed 10 wickets and Hardik contributed with 128 runs and eight wickets. Both the players failed to make ICC's team of the tournament due to India's failure to reach the final.
Star Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi and all-rounder Shadab Khan are also part of Lee's best XI team. Both players took 11 wickets each to guide Pakistan to the final. New Zealand's versatile batter Glenn Phillips, who smashed 201 runs from just five innings, including a 104-run knock against Sri Lanka, also made into Lee's team.
