After losing the first Test of the series against South Africa by an enormous margin of an innings and 32 runs, Rohit Sharma's men displayed courage and strength to bounce back in Cape Town. The visitors went on to win the second clash by seven wickets to level the series 1-1. India registered a clinical victory over the Proteas in what turned out to be the shortest completed Test match ever in terms of balls bowled (642).
Talking about the same victory, former India cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar added how victory in Cape Town showed the determination of the India team. India continued to be in dominant position after bowling the hosts on a paltry total of 55 in the first innings. Former cricketer Irfan Pathan stated how this victory would boost the morale of the Indian side.
Sunil Gavaskar shares his thoughts exclusively on Star Sports 'Follow The Blues' show on India's comeback against South Africa in the second test at Cape Town, said, "After the kind of defeat we had in 3 days where we lost by innings, the way how Indian team has played, the way they have bowled has been amazing, as the opposition team was all out in 55, it shows the determination of the Indian team."
Irfan Pathan shares his opinion about the morale boost and confidence team India will get after the win against South Africa, said, "If you have lesser turnaround time, then your confidence also goes down, but during this time the victory was well deserved for the first time in Cape Town. We also won the fastest match in the history of cricket. The bowling line was great and for batting, 3 batsmen of India who looked more comfortable were Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill in the first innings."
