Considered as one of the best batters in modern-day cricket, Virat Kohli has been absolutely phenomenal in all the three formats of the game. He recently surpassed Ricky Ponting’s record of 71 international centuries and was also the leading run-scorer of the recently concluded T20 World Cup in Australia.

However, when it comes to his attitude and behaviour, there always have been discussions about it. He is someone who's never shy to sledge his opponent and is someone who will always give it back if a cricketer pokes him on the field. Now, these are the certain things that many former cricketers and fans on social media have criticised about the cricketer but that never bothered him.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka all-rounder, Chamika Karunaratne, slammed the critics and paid a tribute to Kohli via an Instagram post. He mentioned that there are people who recognise the former India skipper as arrogant but in fact, it’s the hunger that drives him to be the best.

“People say it's arrogance, they say it's for the cameras, some say it's for the show. The legend says he sees HUNGER. He says as long as there is hunger to be the best. You will WIN,” Karunaratne wrote on his social media account ahead of the third ODI.

Notably, the 34-year-old recently slammed his 45th ODI century against Sri Lanka in the first of the three-match series. Courtesy of his brilliant knock, India won the first ODI by 67 runs at Guwahati. Kohli was also adjudged as the Player of the Match.

Though, he failed to perform in the second ODI of the series at Kolkata and missed out on a hat-trick of centuries, Kohli is expected to bounce back in the third match at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Recently, the top-order batter broke Sachin Tendulkar’s most ODI century record at home and is currently four centuries away from the maestro’s all-time record of 49 hundreds in the 50-over format.
