Champions Trophy 2025: Afghanistan predicted squad

Afghanistan are all set for their Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. The side has risen through the ranks in the past few years, through their exceptional performances, the side has managed to cause quite a few upsets in world cricket, with brilliant performances in the ODI World Cup 2023, and a good showing in the T20 World Cup 2024, Afghanistan have been establishing themselves as a serious contender. 

With the Champions Trophy looming on the horizon, many eyes have been set on Afghanistan. It is worth noting that the side will kick off their Champions Trophy campaign by taking on South Africa on February 21. With that said, let's delve deep into their probable squad for the event.

Afghanistan's Predicted Squad for Champions Trophy 2025:

Top-order: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Rahmat Shah

Afghanistan have a pretty strong batting prowess in their squad, with the likes of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rahmat Shah potentially opening the innings for the side, the side could have a formidable attack at the top of the order. Both Gurbaz and Rahmat Shah have been in brilliant form as of late, and they will hope to put in a good performance in the upcoming Champions Trophy as well.

Middle order: Hashmatullah Shahidi, Sediqullah Atal, Ikram AlikhilIkram

Widely revered as one of the best all-rounders in world cricket, Rashid Khan could be the centre of attention for Afghanistan in the Champions Trophy and with the experience of Mohammad Nabi alongside him, the side could pose a serious problem to their opponents. 

Bowlers: Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fareed Ahmad, Naveed Zadran, AM Ghazanfar, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Noor Ahmad

As for the bowling department, Afghanistan could see the likes of Mujeeb Ur Rahman, AM Ghazanfar, Fareed Ahmad, Naveed Zadran, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Noor Ahmad featuring in the tournament.
