‘Represented India 4 times and won Player of the Match twice’ - Aakash Chopra lauds Yashasvi Jaiswal following terrific show in fourth T20I

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s dream run in international cricket continues as the youngster hit 84* runs off 51 deliveries to help the Men in Blue win the fourth T20I against West Indies. Chasing 179 runs, Jaiswal and Shubman Gill gave a perfect start to team India as their partnership of 165 runs sealed the deal. The West Indies bowlers looked pretty average as the Hardik Pandya-led side managed to level the series in Florida.

Meanwhile, talking about Jaiswal, former India cricketer Aakash Chopra lauded him for his incredible performance and reminded fans that the opener has won two Player of the Match awards in just four matches. The 45-year-old seemed highly impressed with Jaiswal's performance and appreciated him for finishing the game in the fourth T20I.

“Who is my Player of the Match? I am going with Yashasvi Jaiswal. This was just his fourth game in the Indian jersey. He played two Test matches - 171 in the first Test and Player of the Match. He got out early in the first T20I but he remained unbeaten till the end and won his team the game in the second match. Player the Match - Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal is a future superstar: Chopra

After having a couple of terrific seasons in domestic cricket, Jaiswal proved himself in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. Soon after that, he earned his debut India call up and since then, he has proved himself in almost every game. Hence, Chopra believes that the cricketer is a future superstar, who will do well for India in all three formats of the game.

“The way Jaiswal plays, the intent and ability he has, we are seeing a future superstar. He is not a star but a superstar. You will see him representing India in all three formats and doing very well,” Chopra added.
