Indian cricket and its flooding bench strength is no new affair for fans and experts around the world. Though stalwarts like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have turned their backs from the format, the future of T20I cricket doesn't seem even one bit under the clouds. Every other match is a story owned by a new young blood as was Andhra’s Nitish Reddy's case in Delhi. The SRH all-rounder, after receiving his debut cap in Gwalior, rose to the occasion in the 2nd T20I to claim the series win for India.

After the top order looked fragile for India in the 2nd match, the 21-year-old displayed courage in all forms and smashed 74 off 34, striking over 200 to push India post 221 runs on the board. It wasn't all for Reddy for the night as he doubled up his show with two wickets later in the game. After India’s clinical win, the youngster thanked the coach and captain for letting him play his natural cricket and vowed to continue shining for the team in the long run.

“Feels great to represent India, feel so proud about this moment. Grateful for things. Credit to goes to captain and coach as they gave me the licence to play fearless cricket. I took my time initially, but after that no-ball, everything went my way. It feels great to play for the Indian team. I want to continue in this same way. Want to keep repeating such good performances,” said Reddy after Delhi heroics.

Rinku Singh comes to India's rescue

Apart from Reddy, the proven T20I star Rinku Singh held one end of India’s wobbling boat with his solid 53 of 29, laced with five fours and three sixes. In the end, Hardik Pandya’s 32 off 19 gave final touches as hosts flew over 200 in front of meek-looking Bangladesh. The visitors, who looked toothless in front of Suryakumar Yadav and his men, had only Mahmudullah bringing up 41 runs, as they eventually went down by a massive margin of 86 runs in the 2nd game.
