'The way you guys are analysing, we are also analysing' - Coach Parthiv Patel confident of Gujarat Titans' turnaround after narrow loss to Punjab Kings
The Titans will clash against Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on March 29.
Gujarat Titans (GT) batting coach Parthiv Patel has given an update on the availability of the players for their upcoming clash against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2025.
As per the coach, all the players are available and there are no injury concerns. He also shed light on the previous game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) which the team lost by 11 runs.
"All good. No injury concerns. We didn't miss out that much. Obviously, we picked up a few catches, but we didn't miss out on 20-30 runs. See, there is no doubt. We have focused on that. We are working on that as well. If you look at it tomorrow, we were playing a game in the open net as per our plans," said Patel in the pre-match presser.
"The way you guys are analysing, we are also analysing in the same way. And let's see what mistakes we made in the last match, we will try to rectify them. Thank you so much," he added.
Punjab Kings had a good outing against the Titans in the last game as they scored 243 before the bowlers did the rest to stop them 11 runs short.
Sai Sudarshan (74 off 41) and Jos Buttler (54 off 33) slammed two brilliant half-centuries but failed to take the game home. Arshdeep Singh proved to be the standout bowler for Kings with two wickets in four overs. Further, Vijaykumar Vyshak's disciplined death bowling helped the Kings defend the target eventually.
In terms of bowling, Titans' Sai Kishore was the most economical and was the highest wicket-taker as well. He claimed three wickets and gave away just 30 runs in four overs. The Shubman Gill-led side will look forward to bounce back in the upcoming game against MI.
