Former West Indies all rounder and legend, Dwayne Bravo's stint as the Head Coach of Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) in the DP World ILT20 2025 didn't turn out to be a memorable one. Notably, the Sunil Narine-led side finished at the bottom of the points table at the end of the round-robin phase.
Bravo is one of the finest T20 cricketers of all time. He is now the mentor of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The former all-rounder is going to start his journey with the Kolkata-based franchise during the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). While the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders failed to progress to the playoffs, Bravo was happy with the effort that his players put in during the DP World ILT20 2025 against some high-quality opponents.
"Our tournament is over now unfortunately but it's been a great tournament. DP World ILT20 has always been a fantastic tournament over the years and this is my first time getting the opportunity to be a head coach at this level and I really enjoy it and you know the guys give their 100% and that's all you can ask for and in a tournament like this where there are so much high-quality players, very good teams, it's always going to be difficult but we give it our best," Bravo told CricTracker exclusively on the sidelines of the six-team tournament.

Furthermore, Dwayne Bravo was asked which team is the favourite to win the upcoming Champions Trophy. The 41-year-old said that he had no interest in the tournament as the West Indies are not playing in it. For those unaware, the Caribbean side failed to qualify for the eight-team event.
"No idea. No idea. I have no clue. I'm not in, who is going to do well but Windies is not there? So I've got zero interest in the Champions Trophy," Bravo said.
Besides, Dwayne Bravo went on to pick the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, as his favourite ground in India. The Santa Cruz-born has spent most of his years in the IPL playing for Chennai Super Kings at the iconic venue.
Bravo shares great relationships with many Indian players. However, he described Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni as his brothers.
"Hardik is like my brother he's like a West Indian he has that aura so he's like a brother in heart. MS Dhoni again is like another brother. I get along with all these guys and I'm happy that I have a very good friendship with these players," Bravo concluded.
