CSK vs LSG: Ruturaj Gaikwad's monstrous hit dents sponsorship car in stands

The homecoming of the Chennai Super Kings became very special as their opening batters Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad provided a blistering start to the team in the powerplay and got them off to a flying start. Both batters added a lot of pressure on the Lucknow Super Giants' bowling attack up front as Kyle Mayers and Avesh Khan were seen copping a lot of lusty blows.

Their star pacer from match no. 3 of the ongoing IPL, Mark Wood also got off to a poor start as he conceded 19 runs in his very first over of the game. 

The star opening duo made sure that they capitalised on the start and made the Lucknow bowlers pay whenever they erred in terms of line and length. Both batters just took 28 balls to help their team scale the 50-run mark. There was no one stopping the pair even after the powerplay got over as they decimated the Lucknow bowlers brutally.

Ruturaj just picked up from where he had left against Gujrat Titans in the previous fixture as he played some beautiful strokes and put on a display of some exquisite strokes. To everyone's surprise, one of the meaty blows that came off Gaikwad's willow landed right on the sponsorship car that was in the stands. The strike was so powerful that it put a dent in the car and it was there for everyone to see.

It was a monstrous hit by Ruturaj Gaikwad and left everyone in the stands stunned. Gaikwad went on to hit a total of four maximums in his innings that lasted for 31 deliveries. He got out to leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi in the tenth over and was caught by Mark Wood but not before scoring a half-century.

He added a total of 110 runs with his opening partner Conway and put Chennai into the ascendancy by virtue of his fearless knock.
