The southpaw threw his bat and hurriedly rushed out of the nets as he was immediately attended by the physios for a few minutes. The Patna-born cricketer was further seen leaving the training facility. Whether Kishan will be available for the New Zealand game is still not known, however, it’s a worrying sign for team India who will already be missing the services of Hardik Pandya.
The all rounder injured his ankle during the last game against Bangladesh in Pune and hasn’t travelled with the team in Dharamsala. Hence, the Men in Blue will be forced to make a change in their winning combination that has won them four matches on the trot so far.

Mohammad Shami is the front-runner to replace Pandya in the playing XI. However, the Rohit Sharma-led side will also have to strengthen their batting and hence will also have to include either of Ishan Kishan or Suryakumar Yadav in the XI.
Ishan Kishan scored 47 vs Afghanistan
Kishan has already played a couple of matches in the tournament against Australia and Afghanistan. He even played a brilliant knock of 47 against the Afghans in Delhi. However, If the 25-year-old fails to make it to the XI due to the unfortunate bee sting incident, then Suryakumar Yadav is expected to be in the mix.
The 33-year-old has played 30 ODIs so far but hasn’t yet been able to seal his place in the playing XI and scored just 667 runs in 28 innings at an average of 27.79 and a strike rate of 105.70 with four half-centuries to his name.
