Pakistan’s poor fielding once came under the scanner during their ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 clash against Afghanistan on Monday, October 23 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. After opting to bat first, the Babar Azam-led side posted a good score of 282/7 in their allotted 50 overs with Captain Babar top-scoring with 74 (92).
In reply, Afghanistan got off to a terrific start as their openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran put on a massive 130-run stand for the first wicket. During their partnership, Pakistan looked flat in the middle as they made several fumbles in the field.
