David Warner is a passionate cricketer and it is not a piece of news to anyone as the Aussie is known to wear his heart on his sleeve. But apart from his love for the sport, the 36-year-old also has immense compassion for his family too, including his wife Candice Warner, and daughters - Indi Rae Warner, Isla Rae Warner and Ivy Mae Warner.
While people have different ways of expressing their love for their family members and near and dear ones, Warner seems to have taken it to a totally different level altogether. He is currently leading Delhi Capitals in the IPL and was recently snapped wearing a pair of customised shoes in the ongoing match against Lucknow Super Giants with the names of his wife and daughters printed on it.
Warner joined Delhi Capitals in the 2022 season after he was released by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Capitals acquired the services of Warner after spending a whopping INR 6.25 crore. The 2022 season saw the homecoming of Warner at Capitals as the southpaw had started his IPL career playing for Delhi Daredevils.
Warner scored 432 runs in the 2022 season in 12 games at an impressive strike rate of 150.52, including five half-centuries. But his performance was not enough to take the side into the playoffs as Delhi finished fifth on the points table after the end of the league stage.
Delhi's emotional gesture for Rishabh Pant wins hearts
Meanwhile, Capitals are missing their season 2022 skipper Rishabh Pant as he is currently recuperating from the injuries he sustained during his freak car incident that occurred in December 2022. He keeps updating about his health to his fans by taking to several social media platforms every now and then.
Although he is on track to regaining fitness, the chances of him getting fit on time before the start of the 50-over World Cup seems highly unlikely.
