David Warner to make Tollywood debut with cameo in action-comedy movie, received INR 1 crore per day for role

David Warner, the former Australian cricketer who's a long-time follower of Telugu cinema, is set to make his debut in the world of Tollywood. Known for his constant social media appreciation to popular Telugu films, Warner is set to make appear in a special cameo role in the upcoming action-comedy titled 'Robinhood'. The cricketer, who has seized the attention of fans with his fun-filled posts featuring iconic movie moments, will now bring his grace to the big screen.
Warner has long been verbal about his love and admiration for Tollywood movies, often sharing social media videos of himself dancing to hit Telugu tracks like Pushpa's “Srivalli” and mimicking famous movie dialogues. He has even shared fun and joyful Instagram Reels with his family, enacting popular film scenes. His love for the culture has earned him a memorable place in the hearts of Telugu film followers.
Producer Ravi Shankar admitted Warner's presence in Hyderabad during a promotional event, adding to the rumours and hum happening around the project. Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula, is a raw and exciting take on the legendary Robin Hood story, combining action, adventure and comedy. Apart from the New South Wales batter's cameo, the film stars Shine Tom Chacko, Sreeleela, Rajendra Prasad, and Vennela Kishore in key roles.
“David Warner has played a small role. I am sorry, Venky. I had to reveal it without your permission because they insisted. His character will be very exciting. I feel proud we’re launching him in Indian cinema, that too with Robinhood,” the producer was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

While the specifics and minute details of his character still remains under wraps, the star cricketer's casting has definitely piqued and heated all over the fans interest. The reports hint that he was offered a huge sum of INR 1 crore per day for his role.
