In a funny social media exchange, India's newly appointed T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav and rising star Rinku Singh have once again caught the attention of fans. Their banter was similar to a viral moment that took place in the Indian Premier League earlier this year.

During the IPL 2024, Singh was seen requesting a bat from Virat Kohli. Now, history seems to be repeating itself, but with a new protagonist. As the Indian team prepares for their Sri Lanka tour, set to kick off on July 27 with the first T20I, this exchange has brought a smile to fans' faces.

Yadav posted a story featuring an image of himself in conversation with Singh with the caption reading as, "Theek hai bat le lena" (Okay, take the bat). Quick to respond, Rinku reposted the story, adding his own touch of humor with the comment, "De do bhaiya bat" (Give me the bat, brother).

India landed in Sri Lanka on Monday

The Men in Blue landed in the island nation on Monday and next day went for practice without wasting much time. This tour will be the first assignment for the newly appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir. With Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja announcing their retirement from the shortest format of the game, Gambhir has a big challenge ahead to revolutionize the T20I side.
