Star India batter Rishabh Pant has been the talk of the town ever since his life-threatening car accident, where he sustained many major injuries in December 2022. Pant missed out on more than a year of cricket but managed to make a miraculous recovery and has fully made a comeback and is expected to be selected for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Furthermore, India is all set to take on Bangladesh in a multi-format series, which will begin with two Test matches. The BCCI recently came forward and announced the squad for the first Test, and Rishabh Pant was included.
Seeing his name in the squad, many fans came forward and heaped praise on Pant for making a complete recovery and returning to Test cricket. Pant also managed to attract praise from WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff. Reacting to a tweet highlighting Pant’s recovery journey, Bischoff tweeted, “Discipline and commitment. Deadly combination. It is worth noting that Eric Bischoff has been a revolutionary character behind the sports entertainment business, from WCW to WWE, Bischoff has seen the ins and outs of the wrestling business and had a major hand in building up the brand name of the business in the 1990s.
As for Rishabh Pant, the star wicketkeeper batter has seemed to garner praise from many legends as of late. Recently, former India cricketer Sourav Ganguly came forward and heaped praise on Pant and earmarked him to become one of the all-time greats of Test cricket by the time he is done.
“He will be an all-time great in Tests if he keeps performing like this. For me, he needs to get better in the shorter formats. With the talent he has, I’m sure with time, he will become one of the best,” Ganguly was quoted as saying by India.com.
