Delhi Capitals’ X account compromised; posts information about cryptocurrency

In a major development, the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals’ (DC) X account was hacked. The moment left the netizens confused as the hacked account then went on to post some information about cryptocurrency. 

Several users took to X to react to DC’s account getting hacked. It is worth noting that shortly after hacking the account, the hacker started to post some tweets, which were shortly deleted. Interestingly, the account of the popular IPL franchise was hacked on the occasion of "National Hacking Day", as pointed out by a user on X as well. 

"Yes this is a hacked account! We've launched a token called $HACKER on Solana CA: 3oBm3m2NW9auqhYTe2S92U9v6vam4cU9DYk23bwp8Yf4 We will make profits, WE hack accounts on each account the token address will be posted and the token will pump. Search $HACKER to see our strength!" the hacker posing as DC posted.

Delhi Capitals aim to improve in IPL 2025

Delhi Capitals had an underwhelming season in the IPL 2024, the side’s quest for a title continued in the season as they failed to qualify for the playoffs of the tournament once again. In the IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals were eliminated from the group stage of the tournament. Having played 14 matches, Capitals registered seven wins and lost just as many losses.
