"They needed to score [close to] 6.50 runs per over and you have to be calculative while chasing and we would have done the same thing. Obviously the wicket was good and we had small mistakes. If we could have rectify those mistakes we could have done better. It is difficult for each bowler in this kind of wicket because you won't get that much help when the batsmen play lot of shots the opportunity of scoring runs increases. It was challenging but I feel if we could do a bit better it would have been good both pacers and spinners," he added.
'Did not believe that we would lose' - Mehidy rues lost opportunity as West Indies make it 3-0
"We could not bowl the way we should have done and that was probably the problem," Mehidy said after his team's four-wicket loss in the third and final ODI against West Indies.

Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz has expressed disappointment after suffering a four-wicket loss against West Indies in the third ODI at St Kitts. The series was a forgettable one for the Tigers as they suffered a 3-0 whitewash with the home team dominating them in all three games.
Bangladesh drew the two-match Test series 1-1 before the start of the ODI series. After losing the first two games by five and seven wickets respectively, the last match was equally disappointing for the visiting team. Mehidy and Co. might have believed they were in a winning position after scoring 321/5 and reducing the hosts to 86/4 in their chase. However, an unbeaten century from debutant Amir Jangoo (104* off 83) and a well-paced knock from Keacy Carty (95 off 88) was enough to help them chase down the big total with 4.1 overs to spare.

“Losing after scoring 320 runs is disappointing. I did not believe that we would lose this match. To be honest, we picked four wickets inside first 20 overs but later they built a partnership of 150 runs and we could not get any wicket while they scored a lot of boundaries. We could not bowl the way we should have done and that was probably the problem," was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
While Mehidy would not want to remember the series as a captain, his batting form was a highlight as he was one of the top performers in the series. In the third ODI, he scored 77 from 73 deliveries, which included eight fours and two sixes. Though this effort could not help his side finish the series on a high, he proved to be one of the silver linings for Bangladesh with 152 runs at an average of 50.67 and two half-centuries in the series.
