The former Australian cricketer Brett Lee has recalled the memories when he first faced Indian great Sachin Tendulkar in 1999. Sachin had already established himself as one of the best players of his generation and was dominating world cricket before facing Brett Lee. Both players enjoyed a fierce rivalry on the pitch on many occasions and treated fans with plenty of memories.

Recently, both Tendulkar and Lee have returned to the pitch with the former captaining India Legends in the ongoing Road Safety World Series T20 2022. On Friday, Sachin posted a picture while travelling in a plane with the players participating in the tournament where Lee and other Australian legends were in the frame.

If you sledge Sachin on the field, you know he will be out there batting forever: Brett Lee

Lee stated that the Australian team always made sure not to talk to Sachin on the pitch and avoid sledging him. He said that if you sledge Sachin then he will be at the crease batting forever, so Australians tried to keep their mouth shut while facing the Indian legend.

"You see in his eyes, he wants it. When you are bowling to Sachin Tendulkar, you see that look in the eyes and it felt like the eye of the tiger. Someone who wants to get into the battle. We as the Australian cricket team always said to each other, 'don't speak to Sachin Tendulkar on the field'. Because if you sledge him on the field, you know he will be out there batting forever. So we just tried to keep our mouth shut and get on with the game,” Lee revealed in his latest YouTube video.

Sachin ended his 24-year career with over 34000 runs in international cricket and still leads the scoring charts in both Test and ODI format. He also smashed record 100 centuries, 20 of them against Australia, including his first ever ODI hundred in 1994.
