The England and Wales Cricket Board has named the players for their central contract which started on October 1, 2022, and will remain for the next 12 months. England's hard-hitter Liam Livingstone and Ben Foakes are the two new recipients of England's Annual Central Contract offers.

According to ECB, a total of 30 players have received Central Contract offers. Of them, 18 are England Annual Central Contracts, six England Increment Contracts, and six England Pace Bowling Development contracts.

Dom Bess, Rory Burns, Chris Jordan, and Tom Curran have not been retained for the central contract

The ECB has not offered contracts to opener Rory Burns, apart from Chris Jordan who has been a vital part of the team for the English side in the past. However, he was named in England's squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Former England skipper Eoin Morgan's name is also missing from the list who announced his retirement from international cricket this year.

Talented batter Harry Brook and Reece Topley who have impressed the management with their performances are offered England Increment Contracts, their first central contracts. In the bowling department, Brydon Carse, Matthew Fisher, and Jamie Overton are given Pace Bowling Development Contracts for the first time.

Managing Director of England Men’s Cricket, Rob Key, said, "I feel we have rewarded those players who have made a significant impact over the previous 12 months and those we expect to be part of England's plans over the next period."

"The international game continues to evolve, and we must be mindful that we have to lead the way in player performance across the sport. The aim is to develop world-class players in all three formats as we strive to become the best team in the world," he added.
