ECB release venue list for home summer till 2031, Ageas Bowl to host its first Ashes Test in 2027

England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Wednesday, June 14 revealed the venues for the five Tests to be played during India’s tour to England in 2025. The tour will see the two teams going against each other in the five Tests across Lord's, The Oval, Edgbaston, Headingley and Old Trafford. The Board also revealed the venues for the next two Ashes to be played in the UK along with other important allocations from 2025-31.

The next Ashes in the UK scheduled to take place in 2027 will be played across Lord's, The Oval, Edgbaston, Trent Bridge and The Ageas Bowl, which will be hosting its first-ever Ashes Test.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, the England women’s side also has a packed calendar approaching as they will lock horns with Australia in a one-off Test match at Headingley as part of a multi-format series in 2027.

The 2031 Ashes series will see Australia play at Lord's, The Oval, Emirates Old Trafford, Headingley and Trent Bridge. While a Test match at The Ageas Bowl will be a part of the Women's multi-format series. In 2029, India will once again return for five-match Test series which will be played across Lord's, The Oval, Edgbaston, Old Trafford and The Ageas Bowl.

The ECB further revealed that the England Women's side will also be playing their matches at Lord's every year starting from 2025-31. Furthermore, Edgbaston will host T20 Blast Finals Day.

"For the first time, we are announcing long-term allocations for Women's international matches as well as Men's. We have seen huge growth in attendances for Women's matches in recent years, with this year's Women's Ashes smashing previous records, and we want to build further on this in the years ahead,” Richard Gould, ECB Chief Executive Officer was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

"By announcing arrangements for the next seven years, we are also giving venues long-term certainty so that they can invest sustainably into stadium improvements and improved fan experiences,” he added.
