It has been reported that Reece Topley is well on road to recovery from his left ankle injury and is expected to be fit for the 50 over games. Harry Brook, who has been impressive for England lately, has received his maiden call-up in ODIs. In another significant development, Ben Duckett has returned to the ODI set-up after six years. The first match of the series would be played on January 27 in Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein.

England having dream runs in T20Is
England, who are having dream run in the T20I format, would be giving in their all to come out dominant in the South Africa ODIs. Though England have tasted great success in the T20Is while winning away Pakistan series (4-3) and the mega T20 World Cup 2022, they got whitewashed in the ODI series against Australia right after the T20 World Cup success.
England recently whitewashed Pakistan in the Test series as well and it remains to be seen how they will go about their business in the new year in South Africa. Archer, who has been immensely missed by his countrymen for a long period of time, will be keen to make a mark in the upcoming assignments.
