'Every CD was stolen except for the Six and Out CD' - Adam Gilchrist takes a jibe at Brett Lee ahead of music band reunion

As the Six and Out, American rock band, set to make a comeback to the stage, Australia cricket great Adam Gilchrist has delivered a hilarious clip to his former teammate Brett Lee. The band from the 1990s and early 2000s, which included Richard Chee Quee, Brad McNamara, Gavin Robertson, and Lee and his brother Shane, will have a special performance in Melbourne on Thursday (December 28) night.

Anthony Albanese, Australia Prime Minister, has requested that the rock group get back together for the Marrickville Lawn Tennis Club's 100th anniversary since his companion Jodie Haydon was a huge admirer of 'Six and Out' back in the group's glorious days. This gave the trio the idea to carry on with their comeback, and they will do three shows this summer, at The Espy in St Kilda on December 28, Paddington RSL in Sydney on January 3 and The Gov in Adelaide on January 19 next year.

“They (Albanese and Haydon) loved listening to Six and Out when they were in, dare I say, their prime. Brett Lee, back in the day when we all had CDs, he packed them in the front seat of his car. All sorts of music, he had a great back catalogue of music,” Gilchrist said. His car was broken into and every CD was stolen except for the Six and Out CD!” Gilchrist joked on Fox Cricket.

The name of the rock band comes from the backyard cricket rule known as "Six and Out," which states that if a player smashes a maximum that causes the ball to be lost, the player will be immediately given out. "Can't Bowl, Can't Throw" is one of their most popular songs. The song title refers to the infamous cricket incident that happened during the second Test between Australia and Pakistan in Hobart in 1999 which involved Shane Warne, Scott Muller, and Cameraman Joe.
